Within the cycle of events of the European Project InnoRate, UniSMART – Fondazione Università degli Studi di Padova is organising a webinar on what early stage investors look for in companies or ideas to be developed, and what are the dos and don’ts companies should bear in mind in this context.
InnoRate brings innovation to finance and finance to innovation
InnoRate is a H2020 project that aims to facilitate tech-driven SMEs showcase their potential and access more easily financial solutions necessary to scale and grow.
Towards this aim, InnoRate introduces a novel service platform that evaluates and benchmarks tech-driven companies based on the well-established Korean Technology Rating System, that has a track record of assessing over 200,000 cases and helping SMEs acquire more than EUR 75 billion.

Francesca Natali is a shareholder and board member at META Group (MG).
From 2005 she is a Managing Director of META Ventures (MV), the financial company of META Group managing in Italy, Poland and Slovenia public-private co-investment risk capital funds. She sits on the board of directors of MV portfolio companies. She has deep experience and knowledge on key features and regulation of EU financial instruments, having worked for the European Commission and other important international donors (EIB).
She has been appointed into the Regional Investment Committee of Venture Capital Fund by Regione Basilicata. From 2015 she is a member of Venture Capital Commission at AIFI – Italian Association of Private Equity and Venture Capital. She is a member of the screening committee of Angels 4 Women, the leading Italian female business angel club. She is also engaged by the European Commission as Jury Member for 2nd step evaluation (EIC, etc).
Key Speaker and testimonial at panel discussions on Entrepreneurship, finance and innovation, member of business plan competition in universities in Italy and abroad, Ms Natali graduated cum Laude in Economics and Banking at Siena University with a master’s degree in International Business Communication.
