How can industrial products and processes become increasingly sustainable and circular?
This is the challenge addressed by the European project Cradle-ALP, which will reach its conclusion on October 14 with its final conference in Padua.
Cradle-ALP has brought together universities, businesses, and institutions from across the Alpine region to test innovative solutions in circular design and the replacement of fossil-based materials with renewable resources.
The goal?
To create greener, more competitive value chains in the sectors of plastics and polymers, wood and furniture, chemicals and materials, textiles/fibers, and packaging.
During the event we will explore:
- The concrete results of pilot projects, showing how companies can embark on circular transition pathways;
- Experiences and best practices developed at a transnational level;
- Future perspectives to accelerate the shift towards a zero-waste economy.
The program includes keynote speeches by professors from the University of Padua, contributions from the business world, and a roundtable with international experts. Afterwards, a networking session will provide an opportunity to meet researchers, companies, and local stakeholders.
