Chemiluminescence is widely used for analyte detection in diagnostics, life sciences, and environmental analysis. However, current systems are typically based on enzymatic reactions (e.g. HRP), which:
i)require controlled conditions,
ii) suffer from limited stability,
iii)may generate non-specific signals.

There is a growing demand for enzyme-free, robust, and cost-effective detection technologies capable of delivering reliable and reproducible results across diverse applications.

The invention introduces a novel chemiluminescence-based method for analyte detection.
It is based on a luminescent system capable of generating a measurable light signal under controlled conditions and adaptable for selective target recognition, enabling direct detection without the use of enzymatic processes.

  • Innovative solution for energy storage: zinc-iodine hybrid flow battery with electrolytes and additives bestowing a high performance and cyclability

The energy transition towards reduced CO2 emissions requires the substitution of fossil fuels with a widespread exploitation of renewable energy sources (e.g., the sun and the wind). However, the latter are intermittent and non-programmable. Thus, it is necessary a widespread...

  • Method for the preparation of monoliths of Zeolite A

The present invention relates to a method for preparing A-type zeolite monoliths, which enables the 3D printing of zeolite precursor gels, with crystallization of the product occurring simultaneously with the solidification of the component. This method allows the formation of...

  • SAMNs Nanoparticle production for purification

This invention has developed an innovative, environmentally sound and low-cost method for the synthesis of magnetic nanoparticles (Surface Active Maghemite Nanoparticles - SAMNs): their surface characteristics are especially useful in medical and agri-food applications. They are especially efficient in purification...
