The patent relates to a novel tube flowforming process, with the use of an innovative equipment that makes use of a constrain used to increase the amount compression stress state of the material.
As is well known, metal pipes may be produced in different techniques, for example from the extrusion of a billet and then by calibration by rolling or drawing.
The products obtained by flow-forming in opposition are not free from defects, such as the Roll back up material, respect at the direction of advancement, bulges and flares which manifest as detachments of ends from the spindle wall or a support spindleconnected.
Therefore this procedure with the use of the constraint allows to achieve higher deformation rates than the traditional process, while increasing the rate of refinement of the material grain piece.
