This patent proposes an alternative treatment of waste water rich in biodegradable organic substances through the use of black soldier fly larvae (BSF).
Black soldier fly larvae are able to metabolize and stabilize huge amounts of organic matter, transforming it into larval biomass.
The larvae are terrestrial animals and so they hardly survive with difficulty in liquid environments.
This invention proposes a method to guarantee the survival of the larvae in liquids and therefore in the management of waste water.
